Positioning Workshop
Category, differentiation, and positioning statement in 30 minutes
Runs a structured positioning exercise: competitive landscape mapping, differentiation extraction, category definition, and positioning statement development. Based on the Obviously Awesome framework adapted for B2B SaaS. Produces a positioning document that the whole team can align on.
Workflow Steps
Competitive Landscape
/competitive-positioningMap competitors by category, positioning, and differentiation claims
Best-Fit Customer Analysis
/synthesize-knowledgeIdentify your best customers and what they value most
Differentiation Extraction
/synthesize-knowledgeIsolate what you do that alternatives cannot or will not do
Positioning Draft
/produce-contentCategory, audience, differentiation, and positioning statement
Stress Test
/skeptical-buyerChallenge the positioning from a buyer's perspective
Example
Positioning for a developer security tool. Maps 8 competitors across 3 sub-categories, identifies that best-fit customers are mid-market DevOps teams who value "zero-config" setup. Produces positioning: "The only developer security tool that works out of the box without security team involvement." Stress test challenges the "only" claim and suggests softening to "first." Positioning built on evidence, not instinct — that's AI GTM strategy.
